I learned during the break between quarters that it feels really good to relax after long periods of working hard.
I don't know if I'd ever enjoyed a break as much as I enjoyed that week off. Maybe I'd never worked as intensely and just never knew how enjoyable it could be. Even though I grumble about it sometimes, I actually like being fairly busy. One of my favorite things about school is that it is making me disciplined and there's no denying that will be a vital trait to have when I'm "in the field."
My patience still gets tested. That's OK as long as I can hang in there and continue to grow. You might think that going to school and living with people that want to know more about God's Word would get along almost flawlessly and have no problems, and you'd think wrong. It's true that the fellowship our class enjoys is tremendous and that there is a strong bond between all of us. But it's also true that like any family we have our quirks and we individually do things sometimes that annoys other people. I've been annoyed and I have likely done my share of annoying.
School continues to be a tremendous opportunity for growth to me. Not just in Bible knowledge but in attitude and ethic.
With all that said...I'm still looking forward to 12:15 tomorrow when I am officially on Thanksgiving Break. :-)
