A peek at the life, times and thoughts of John during his two-year stint in Knoxville.

The second quarter is complete. Friday I went to a men's retreat in Gatlinburg, Tenn. (had never been there, it's actually a pretty cool place...figuratively and literally). Saturday after the retreat meant back to Knoxville, pack it up and head for Huntington.

I drove a different route to Huntington this time. Technically I'd never driven from Knoxville to Huntington before, but I've driven Huntington to Knoxville once and it wasn't this way. Along the way I got to drive through Pikeville and that was nice considering that as the years go by I keep adding friends who live(d) there.

Visited 26th Street for their morning services and got to spend some time with my college friends and church family there. Last night I drove to Elkview to visit the congregation there and then was up the road to home. Arrived between 9:45-10.
