Last night was supposed to be a big party for the West Virginia Mountaineers.

 

They were playing at home in front of a loaded house with the lowly Pittsburgh Panthers standing between them and a trip to play for the National Championship.

 

Pittsburgh beat them 13-9 in a win that is as stunning and deflating as Akron's victory over Marshall during Leftwich's senior year.
