I don't tend to think I have a lot of pet peeves, but there are a few that I've noticed lately *really* get to me.

1. Using the microwave, stopping it before the time runs out and then *leaving the remaining time on the screen*!!! By all means folks, just hit one more button so the clock will be back up.

2. Shopping carts left in the parking lot.

Even more fun than number two is when I see so many carts away from where they should be and set about rounding them up myself. That's not so bad, but it is mildly perturbing when somebody sees what you're doing and then merely rolls their buggy to you so you can add it to your growing collection. After all, you're already taking a quarter-mile worth of carts with you. What's one more going to hurt?
