A peek at the life, times and thoughts of John during his two-year stint in Knoxville.

Table Scraps (c): What happened to me?!

Something is seriously wrong with me. In fact, I think a part of me has been killed.

Yesterday, after being told twice by different people in the past week that I needed to get organized, I bought a filing cabinet. A rudimentary system and preliminary filing away of things began shortly thereafter. John and organized are two words that do not typically go together. It was scary enough last quarter when I started doing To-Do Lists. This jump is insanity.

--It gets worse, though. As my library grows I've even started adding things to it that aren't mandatory textbooks. I bought two books last week simply because they'd be good *gasp* resource tools for my library. I'm becoming one of *those* people. One of the types that has tools, and organization and...discipline. I suppose it had to happen sooner or later.

--I learned this morning that my stick shift abilities are even worse than I recalled. I might be the only person on the planet who has ever gotten *worse* at driving a manual transmission the more I practiced.

--Apparently the full parody wasn't done or wasn't uploaded, but I got a kick out of this video: http://chime.tv/#v/1tkx0

--If you have never used ChimeTV I recommend it. And not just because I know one of the guys who made it. www.chime.tv

--Marshall will try to pick up its second win of the season today against East Carolina. ECU is on top of the C-USA East standings so Marshall will have to bring the noise. Play 'til the whistle blows!

--It has occured to me that I set this blog up for supporters and interested people to read, but haven't made it very clear how they can contact me if they want to. So, I'm including my e-mail address at the end of posts now if I can remember to.

School continues here and as usual it keeps us all busy. Tomorrow I have a preaching assignment in Englewood, Tenn. I've heard they're great people out there so we'll find out. I've enjoyed my other two assignments and trust I'll like this one too.
